Yellow-nosed Albatross [Thalassarche]
Description
This genus includes several species of medium-sized albatrosses, such as the Atlantic and Indian yellow-nosed albatrosses. They are characterized by their yellow to orange nasal culmen, which contrasts with their otherwise dark plumage. These seabirds are pelagic, spending the majority of their life flying over open waters, coming to land only for breeding purposes.
