Social Feather Duster [Branchiomma]
Description
Branchiomma is a genus known for its large, colorful, and often social species of fan worms. These worms construct tubes out of sediment, which are often found clustered together, forming small colonies. They possess a crown of tentacles that are used for filter feeding and respiration. The tentacles can be quickly retracted into the tube when threatened.
