Description

Archamia is a genus of cardinalfishes known for their distinct eye rings and preference for sheltering in coral reef crevices. They are small to medium-sized, nocturnal fishes that feed on small invertebrates. Like many cardinalfishes, Archamia species practice mouthbrooding, with the males incubating the eggs.
