Description

Sphaeramia is a small genus of cardinalfishes, including the well-known pajama cardinalfish, named for its distinctive, banded pattern resembling pajamas. These species are found in the western Pacific, often in lagoons and on reef slopes. They are social, forming small groups, and are nocturnal.
