Description

Okamejei is a genus of skates known for their wide distribution in the Indo-Pacific region, from the western Indian Ocean through to the western Pacific Ocean. These skates are distinguished by their relatively smooth skin, with scattered small thorns, and a unique pattern of electric rays. They inhabit various depths and are often found on sandy or muddy bottoms where they feed on crustaceans, mollusks, and small fish.
