Neritona [Neritona]
Description
Neritona snails are primarily found in freshwater and brackish environments, although some species are marine. They have thick, often dark-colored shells that help them blend into their surroundings. These snails are important grazers, feeding on algae and biofilm on rocks, wood, and other substrates in rivers, streams, and coastal areas.
