Mushroom Coral [Cycloseris]
Description
Cycloseris is a genus of small to medium-sized, free-living mushroom corals. Unlike many other corals, they are not attached to the substrate but lie loose on the sea floor. They typically have a single, circular, convex disc shape that can range in color. These corals are found in shallow to deep waters of tropical and subtropical oceans.
