Description

Mora is a genus within the Moridae family, consisting of species commonly referred to as Morid Cods. These fishes have a global distribution in temperate and cold waters, usually found at great depths. They are characterized by their elongated bodies, large heads, and the presence of two dorsal fins. Morid Cods are benthic feeders, preying on invertebrates and smaller fish.
