Heron Sillagos [Herklotsichthys]
Description
Herklotsichthys is a genus within the Dorosomatinae family, known commonly as heron sillagos. Members of this genus are small, elongated fish with distinctive silver stripes along their sides, adapted to living in both freshwater and marine environments. They are primarily distributed in the Indo-Pacific region, where they occupy a variety of habitats from estuaries to open seas, feeding on plankton.
