Description
Reinhardtius is a genus of righteye flounders found in the North Pacific and North Atlantic Oceans, including the notable Greenland Halibut. These fish are distinguished by their large size, dark brown or blackish bodies, and preference for deep, cold waters, typically below 200 meters. Greenland Halibut can grow up to 1.2 meters in length. They have a high commercial value and are targeted for their meat.
