Ephalophis [Ephalophis]

Description

The genus Ephalophis is known from a very limited number of specimens and is therefore among the least understood within the family Hydrophiidae. The defining characteristics of this genus include its unique color patterns and the specific morphological features of its skull and spine. Ephalophis species are believed to inhabit deep waters off the northern coast of Australia, and little is known about their behavior, diet, or exact distribution.
