Description
Lutraria is a genus of bivalves in the Mactridae family, commonly referred to as Angular Trough Shells. These bivalves are recognized for their elongated, oval to angular shells with relatively smooth surfaces. They are capable of creating and inhabiting substantial burrows, utilizing long siphons to feed on organic particles suspended in the water.
