Shrimpfishes [Centriscidae]

Description

The Centriscidae family, also known as shrimpfishes or razorfishes, are characterized by their extremely thin, vertically compressed bodies, which they swim with in a vertical position. They often form schools and swim among the spines of sea urchins or in seagrass beds as a form of protection against predators. Shrimpfishes are found in the Indo-Pacific region, where they feed on small crustaceans.
