Arachnactis [Arachnactidae]
Description
Arachnactidae, also known as Arachnactis, comprise a family of benthic, tube-dwelling anemones similar to Cerianthidae but differ in certain morphological characteristics. Members of this family have a unique arrangement of tentacles and lack the distinctive dual tentacle structure seen in Cerianthidae. They are less common and studied than their more colorful relatives but play a role in the biodiversity of marine benthic ecosystems.
