Zigzag Scallop [Euvola ziczac]

Description
The Zigzag Scallop, also known as Euvola ziczac, is a species of bivalve mollusc in the family Pectinidae. It can be found in the western Atlantic Ocean from North Carolina to the West Indies, including Bermuda and the Gulf of Mexico. The shell of Euvola ziczac is fan-shaped with a nearly straight hinge line and a wavy outer edge. It is usually white, cream or light brown with a zigzag pattern of darker lines. This species generally lives in sandy or muddy substrates at depths of between 1 and 110 metres.
