Ziebell's handfish [Brachiopsilus ziebelli]
Description
Ziebell's handfish is a species of handfish in the family Brachionichthyidae, and is endemic to Tasmanian waters. The species inhabits coastal waters down to depths of 50 meters, preferring habitats with sandy or muddy bottoms. It is characterized by its large pectoral fins which it uses to 'walk' along the sea floor.
