Yellowfin Gurnard [Chelidonichthys kumu]
Description
The Yellowfin Gurnard is a medium-sized fish, usually reaching up to 40 cm in length. It has a distinctive yellow color and large, wing-like pectoral fins. This species is found in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, from Australia to New Zealand. It usually lives on sandy or muddy seabeds, at depths between 10 and 300 meters. It feeds primarily on crustaceans and small fish.
