Yellow Ribbon Eel [Rhinomuraena quaesita]
Description
Yellow Ribbon Eels are hermaphroditic eels found in the Indo-Pacific Ocean, specifically in lagoons and reefs. Adult males are black with a yellow dorsal fin, while females are entirely yellow. Juveniles are black. They are solitary creatures, spending most of their time with only their head protruding from holes in the reef. They feed primarily on small fish and crustaceans.
