Description
The Yellow hermit crab, or Lophopagurus cristatus, is a species of hermit crab that can be found in the Indo-Pacific region. It is characterized by its yellowish color and the distinct spines on its body. These crabs are mostly nocturnal and prefer to inhabit sandy or muddy substrates where they can burrow. They have a symbiotic relationship with sea anemones, which they carry on their shells for protection.
