Yellow-edged moray [Gymnothorax flavimarginatus]
Description
The yellow-edged moray is a species of eel in the family Muraenidae. It is found in the Indo-Pacific, from the eastern coast of Africa and the Red Sea to the Society Islands, north to the Ryukyu Islands, south to New Caledonia. It is a reef-associated species that is non-migratory. It has a maximum length of 240 cm. Its body is brownish in color, and the margins of the dorsal, anal, and caudal fins are yellowish.
