Description
Also known as Manila clam, it is a species of saltwater clam, a marine bivalve mollusk in the family Veneridae. Originally native to the Pacific Ocean, it has been introduced to other areas of the world and is often farmed. The shell is elongated, oval, and sculptured with radiating ribs.
