West African Wolf Herring [Chirocentrus westafricanus]
Description
The West African Wolf Herring is a species of wolf herring that is native to the eastern Atlantic Ocean. It can be found from Morocco to Angola, including the Canary Islands and the Gulf of Guinea. It is a pelagic, marine species that prefers coastal waters. Similar to the Wolf Herring, it is a large fish with a silver body and large, fang-like teeth. It can reach a length of up to 60 cm.
