Umbrella Slug [Umbraculum umbraculum sinicum]
Description
The Umbraculum umbraculum sinicum is a subspecies of the Umbrella Shell. Physically, it resembles the U. umbraculum but is distinguished by a more conical shell shape and a darker coloration, often brown or black. This subspecies is also carnivorous, feeding primarily on sea sponish. It is found predominantly in the waters around China, hence the 'sinicum' in its name, and prefers rocky substrates similar to its parent species.
