Turriform Coral [Coelastrea turgescens]

Description
Coelastrea turgescens, or turriform coral, is a species of hard coral that is endemic to the waters around Australia. It forms large colonies of up to 2 meters in diameter, with individual corallites that are turret-shaped. The coral is most commonly found on the upper slopes of reefs, where it is exposed to strong wave action. It is light brown to green in color, with the corallites often showing a contrasting color at the tips.
