Description

Turbinaria reniformis is a species of colonial stony coral in the family Dendrophylliidae. It is usually a free-living, solitary coral, but sometimes forms small colonies. It is found in the Indo-Pacific region. This species is commonly called Turban Scroll Coral because of its unique shape. It is a non-reef building coral that lives in turbid water rich in nutrients. It is a photosynthetic coral species and often occurs in areas of high sedimentation.
