Description
Filellum serpens, commonly known as the Thread hydroid, is a species of hydroid cnidarians in the family Aglaopheniidae. It is found in marine environments, primarily in the Atlantic Ocean. This species is characterized by its elongated, thread-like branches which are densely covered with small hydranths. It commonly forms dense colonies on hard substrates. The species is also noted for its bioluminescence, emitting light when disturbed.
