Sulphur Worm [Paralvinella sulfincola]

Description
These worms inhabit the hydrothermal vents of the northeastern Pacific Ocean. They can survive in extreme conditions, including high levels of sulphur and low oxygen concentrations. Sulphur Worms are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 50°C. They have a reddish-purple color and a segmented body that can grow up to 10 cm in length.
