Stellar Turban [Guildfordia stellaris]
Description
The Stellar Turban is a distinct marine species from the Turbinidae family. It is found in the waters surrounding Australia and New Zealand. Its shell can reach a size of 65mm and is recognizable by its star-shaped pattern and sharp spines. This species prefers sandy and rocky sea bottoms and is most commonly found in subtidal zones.
