Starry Moray [Echidna xanthospilos]
Description
The Starry Moray, also known as the Yellow-Spotted Moray, is a species of moray eel. This species is easily recognized by its dark body covered in numerous bright yellow spots. It is a smaller species, reaching a maximum length of about 60 cm. The Starry Moray is nocturnal and carnivorous, feeding mostly on crustaceans. They are found in the Indo-Pacific region, inhabiting rocky or coral reefs.
