Star snail [Astrea phoebia]
Description
Astrea phoebia, commonly known as the star snail, is a species of sea snail. It is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Turbinidae. This species can be found in the Caribbean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico and the Lesser Antilles. It has a shell that reaches a size of 25-30 mm, and is usually found in shallow waters and reef environments.
