Standish's Trough Shell [Mysella standishi]

Description
Standish's Trough Shell, scientifically known as Mysella standishi, is a small bivalve mollusk that is native to the Pacific Ocean. This species typically resides in deep-sea environments, often found living symbiotically with sea cucumbers. It's a filter feeder, filtering out microscopic plant cells from the water. The shell is elongated and narrow, hence the name 'trough shell', and is usually less than 1 cm in length. Distinguished by its pale white or yellowish color, the Standish's Trough Shell has a delicate, thin shell which is translucent when alive.
