Description
Siphopteron tigrinum, also known as the Squaretail Batwing Slug, is a species of sea slug native to the tropical Western Pacific. It has a pale body with distinctive brown spots, resembling a tiger's pattern, hence its common name. This species inhabits shallow sandy bottoms and seagrass beds. It is known for its peculiar mating behavior where both partners simultaneously 'stab' each other with a calcified 'love dart'.
