Spotted spiny-turbot [Brachirus harmandi]

Description

The Spotted spiny-turbot is a species native to the marine waters of the Indo-West Pacific region. It is a demersal species, often found inhabiting sandy or muddy bottoms of shallow coastal waters. It has a unique body shape, being noticeably flat with a small head. It is named for its spiny dorsal fin and its skin, which is speckled with many small spots.
