Spotted Rose Snapper [Symphorichthys spilurus]
Description
The Spotted Rose Snapper, also known as the Blue and Gold Snapper, is a species of fish in the Lutjanidae family. The species is primarily found in the Pacific Ocean, ranging from the eastern coast of Africa to the western coast of America. This species inhabits coral reefs and is known to form schools. It feeds primarily on smaller fish and invertebrates. The Spotted Rose Snapper is characterized by its pinkish-red color, overlaid with blue and gold spots and stripes. Adults can grow up to 80 cm in length.
