Spotted goblinfish [Scorpaenopsis cirrosa]
Description
The Spotted goblinfish is a species of marine fish in the family Scorpaenidae and it is widely distributed throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific area. It is a benthic species that typically resides in lagoons and seaward reefs where it camouflages itself among rocks and coral. It is recognized by its compressed body, large pectoral fins and distinctive coloration, usually beige with dark spots.
