Spotted Ghost Crab [Chioneryx maculatus]

Description
The Spotted Ghost Crab, or Chioneryx maculatus, is a species of ghost crab found along the sandy shores of the Pacific Ocean. This crab is characterized by its cream color with brown spots which provide excellent camouflage against the sand. It is a nocturnal species that feeds on organic matter and small invertebrates. During the day, it digs burrows in the sand to stay cool and avoid predators.
