Spiky worm [Nematonereis litoralis]

Description
Nematonereis litoralis, or the Spiky worm, is a marine species that lives in the intertidal zone of sandy or muddy beaches. It is easily identifiable by its spiky, elongated body, which can reach up to 6 cm in length. The Spiky worm is a detritivore, feeding on organic matter found in the sediment. It is a solitary species that burrows during the day and emerges at night.
