Southern Sea Star [Trichasterina tasmaniae]

Description
The Southern Sea Star is a marine species native to the waters around Tasmania, Australia. Its body is circular with five distinct, thin arms. Coloration tends to be a bright orange or duller brown. This species is usually found in shallow waters, particularly in rocky areas with lots of algae for it to feed on. It is a nocturnal species, hiding during the day and emerging at night to feed.
