Solea lascaris [Pegusa lascaris]
Description
Also known as 'Sand Sole', the Solea lascaris is a species of flatfish in the family Soleidae. It is generally found in the Northeast Atlantic, including the Mediterranean Sea. It is a demersal fish that lives on bottoms at depths of 10 to 60 meters. It can reach 65 cm in length. It has a flattened body adapted for life on the seabed, with both eyes on the right side of its body.
