Snowy Plover [Charadrius nivosus]
Description
The Snowy Plover is a small wader in the plover bird family. It breeds in Ecuador, Peru, Chile, the southern and western United States and the Caribbean. Preferably in salt pans. They are pale brown on top and white below, with a black forehead bar in breeding adults. They forage for food on beaches, usually by sight, moving across the beaches on foot.
