Description
The Smooth handfish was a species of fish in the family Brachionichthyidae that was endemic to the coastal waters of Tasmania, Australia. It was declared extinct by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2020. It was distinguished by its smooth skin and the absence of skin flaps or appendages.
