Slope dragonfish [Foetorepus altivelis]
Description
The Slope dragonfish is a species of barbeled dragonfish. It is characterized by its long body, large mouth, and numerous sharp teeth. This species is found in the mesopelagic zone in tropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Like its relatives, it is bioluminescent with photophores along its ventral surface.
