Slender-billed Curlew [Numenius tenuirostris]
Description
The Slender-billed Curlew is a critically endangered species with no confirmed sightings since 2001. They breed in marshes and peat bogs in Siberia, and winter in the Mediterranean basin. They are smaller than other curlews, with a slender, downcurved bill. Their diet consists of insects and small invertebrates.
