Description
Carteriospongia silicea, or the Siliceous Sponge, is a species of sponge that features an encrusting growth form. It's color ranges from creamy white to light yellow. This sponge is predominantly found in the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean, and prefers hard substrates in shallow reef environments.
