Shortspine Spurdog [Squalus mitsukurii]
Description
Also known as the Green Dogfish, the Shortspine Spurdog is found in the tropical and temperate waters of all oceans. They are distinguished by their short, thick, grooved spines in front of both dorsal fins. They prefer deeper waters and feed on a diet of smaller fish and invertebrates.
