Shortnose Sawshark [Pristiophorus nudipinnis]

Description
The Shortnose Sawshark, also known as the Common Sawshark, is found off the southern coasts of Australia, specifically from Western Australia to New South Wales. It inhabits sandy or muddy bottoms near the continental shelf at depths ranging from 37 to 140 meters. It has a shorter, broader rostrum than the Longnose Sawshark, with 18 pairs of rostral teeth. This nocturnal predator feeds on bottom dwelling invertebrates and fishes.
