Short-nosed Skate [Mesorhynchus abbreviatus]

Description
The Short-nosed Skate or Mesorhynchus abbreviatus is another species of fish in the Rajidae family. Unlike their long-nosed relatives, they inhabit the Southwest Atlantic waters off the coasts of Argentina and Uruguay. They are also found in deep waters, usually between 180 to 400 meters. They have a shorter snout compared to M. longirostris, hence their name. Their behavior and reproductive habits are not well known.
