Sharptooth Mullet [Myxus salmoides]

Description

The Sharptooth Mullet, also known as Myxus salmoides, is a species of grey mullet. This species can be found in the western Pacific Ocean, from the Ryukyu Islands to New Caledonia, and from the Philippines to the Arafura Sea. The Sharptooth Mullet inhabits estuaries and rivers, and is known to move into the lower parts of rivers in response to rainfall.
