Description
Aeolidiella alderi, commonly known as the shag-rug sea slug, is a species of sea slug that can be found in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean, from Norway to Portugal and the Mediterranean Sea. It is a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Aeolidiidae. This species has a pale body color with distinct cerata that are usually banded in dark brown or black. It feeds primarily on sea anemones.
