Rufescent Tiger Heron [Tigrisoma lineatum]
Description
The Rufescent Tiger Heron is a large wading bird found in freshwater swamps and marshes in Central and South America. It has a long, thick bill and a rufous chest. It feeds on fish, amphibians, and invertebrates. It is nocturnal, doing most of its hunting at night.
